Join us for a listening of 2 movements from the "The Rites of Love," a new string quartet composition by Leonardo Suarez Paz, performed by the 2xGrammy-nominated Cuartetango string quartet followed by conversation on the technical and the not so technical aspects of the work. How is tango played on Western Classical Instruments? Does the quartet have to breathe together? Where does the essence of freedom lie? What does it mean to live free from fear? Take a sneak peak into the process of digitalizing "The Rites of Love," a new ballet composition by Leonardo Suarez Paz & performed by the 2xGrammy-nominated Cuartetango string quartet. This special session will allow a small number of audience members listen to the music and experience the recording process from the inside out. NOTE: This session is part of an educational project. Latecomers and children not admitted, requires complete silence from audience members. Post showcase discussion outside the studio.

Join us for a unique multidisciplinary program featuring the world premiere of "The Rites of Love," a new composition by Leonardo Suarez Paz performed by the 2xGrammy-nominated Cuartetango string quartet along with special appearances by members of Cuartetango Music & Dance Co., Nuevo Tango Ballet and a post-concert milonga to the music of Suarez Paz TANGO Orchestra.
Cuartetango has been featured multiple times at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Chautauqua Institution, live at the Latin Grammy Awards, Teatro Colon Opera House and many other venues. Award winning artists include Leonardo Suarez Paz (violin I, voice, direction), Francisco Salazar (violin II), Jon Weber (viola) and Danny Miller (violoncello), Rodolfo Zanetti (bandoneon), Hector (piano), Nuevo Tango Ballet with Olga Suarez-Paz and Sofia Ameglio.

Join us for a one of a kind program by the double Latin Grammy nominated Cuartetango string quartet in the acoustically superior historic Chapel of the Good Shepherd. The string quartet will perform excerpts from "The Rites of Love," a new composition by Leonardo Suarez-Paz which will premiere in late 2024. The evening's program will also feature Olga Suarez Paz (Nuevo Tango Ballet) and instrumental and vocal works by Astor Piazzolla and post-Piazzolla composers.
