NUEVO TANGO BALLET
Nuevo Tango Ballet is a contemporary tango dance ensemble which aims to expand the boundaries and the perception of Tango as an artistic language. We seek to contemporize the traditional form through exploring new technique, by creating new narratives, reexamining gender roles and themes of liberty, inspiration and love.
Nuevo Tango Ballet forms a part of Leonardo Suarez Paz's PIAZZOLLA 100 as an integral aspect of the project's multidisciplinary nature which is modernizing the genre by integrating contemporary elements and influences from other genres. We honor Tango's roots as a traditional art form, where dance, music, visual art and storytelling are inseparable.
In addition to Nuevo Tango Ballet, PIAZZOLLA100 is home to CUARETETANGO MUSIC & DANCE CO.
