Leslie Ann Kilpatrick
Kilpatrick began training in Vaganova Ballet at age 6 with Meryane Murphy of Andalusia Ballet. She continued her education at Birmingham-Southern College with the late prima ballerina Mira Popovich of the former Yugoslavian State Ballet where she studied Dance and Mathematics. She moved to NYC for an internship with MMDG. The opportunity helped evolve this ballerina
across multiple disciplines from hip hop to modern, contemporary dance to Argentinian tango, and improvisation to performance art. Past performance with Nuevo Tango Ballet include “The Dance of the Escaulo” “Violentango” and “Libertango” by Laura Roatta /
Olga Suarez Paz.
Leslie Ann had the privilege of working with Choreographers Alan Danielson, Callie Hatchet, Eli Lazar, Germaul Barnes, Giada Ferrone, Maria Gillespie, Olga Suarez Paz, Rita Schneider, Teri Weksler, Tumi Lambert Vil Nkomo, and Zoe Juniper. She is a member of Nuevo Tango Ballet, Nyane Khosi Dance Theatre, and Viewsic Expressions. Kilpatrick has presented her choreography at WestBeth, Nachmo!, Love Riot, 313 gallery, BOS & GOS. She is also the Founder/CEO of MathMove; an interdisciplinary approach to math
curriculum.
